And just like that we bid farewell to winter and hello to spring!
March is a celebration month for my family. The month begins with our 7th wedding anniversary. It seems like just yesterday I was proposing. Then we celebrate our son Charlie’s 4th birthday on March 17th. While some people will be toasting St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll be having a Paw Patrol party with family! WOW…time flies when you’re having fun!
Charlie started karate last month and has earned his first yellow stripe! He’s having so much fun and learning great life skills. It’s exciting to watch him grow into a confident toddler.
Our new and improved agency website went live at the end of February. Check it out…I’m proud of the work that went into it and the end result.
Last, I’m excited to share that we were voted the Reader’s Choice Best Insurance Agency in Carrollton for the 2nd year in a row! It’s a great honor and our team appreciates all of your support!
Wishing you a happy and healthy March!

Protect Your Home From Water Damage
Water damage is one of a homeowner’s greatest worries since it can result in mold and expensive repairs. The following tips can help you prevent potential sources of seepage in your home.
Don’t plant next to your house. A flower or shrub border is lovely, and some folks like thorny bushes beneath their windows as a deterrent to break-ins, but watering those plants could damage your foundation. It’s wiser to keep flower beds a few feet away from the house or make sure they slope away from it.
Use gutters and downspouts to divert rain runoff away from your foundation. If you notice water pooling after a rain, that area needs gutters. Also, make sure you have sufficient gutters for your entire roof. Extend downspouts away from the house and, if possible, discharge underground with PVC pipe to drain into the street.
Check your roof regularly for loose shingles – especially after high wind or rainstorms. Inspect metal flashing for damage and make sure your skylights are properly sealed. Check your attic for wet spots or any signs of mold, condensation, damage to insulation, or a rodent or insect infestation that could lead to weak areas and subsequent leaks.
Simple tips like these can create a happier, healthier and more valuable home.
Our agency was a sponsor for the 2nd annual Run for Rover event, benefitting the City of Carrollton Animal Services and Adoption Center. Despite a very cold and rainy morning, the race turnout was great and we had so much fun meeting new people and seeing lots of cute pups!
Thanks to everyone that attended and stopped by our booth!
You don’t want to press your luck!!!

We are supporting Lions Sight & Tissue Foundation through the end of this quarter. They have been serving the citizens in the Dallas are since 1956. They started out as an eye bank dedicated to cataract surgery and cornea transplantation and now it’s a resource to receive eyeglasses and medical assistance for vision issues. The impact of this service on the lives of children and adults is profound and we are quite impressed with their service in our community.
